I can’t even tell you the number of times people have told me they lost a dog to kidney failure, or their dogs got sick from eating Chicken Jerky treats made in China. It’s absolutely terrifying & 100% avoidable if you just make your dog his own Chicken Jerky treats at home!
Now, if you don’t have a dehydrator you can cook these in the oven on 200 degrees, or of course you can order them from me on Etsy, too!

Step One:
Cut your chicken into thin strips. this works best for me if I buy the Chicken Tenders, freeze them for a few hours to firm them up, and then thin them into 2 pieces. If you have really good knives, you probably won’t have any issues cutting the thawed chicken, but my knives are not the best, so I usually will freeze it some before attempting to cut them up.

Step Two:
Place your Chicken onto your dehydrator (be sure to not have your chicken touching other pieces, so that it dries evenly) & dehydrate for 10-12 hours. Sometimes if my slices are a little thicker than others, it takes a couple extra hours to dry completely. I usually flip my slices half way through their drying time, to make sure they dry evenly. If you want a crunchier treat, instead of chewy, you can leave the chicken on the dehydrator for 24 hours if you want! :)

Step Three:
Enjoy.
Your dogs will love you for making them their very own treats, & you can feel good about knowing exactly what they’re eating. No more worrying about those Made in China treats!
